So that your hands do not freeze ...
In winter, city dwellers do not often visit summer cottages, but they still have to do this. For those who have a small economy, the summer season does not stop even in the cold season. Time-tested tips will be helpful to them.
People who are sensitive to colds are sometimes not helped even by the warmest mittens. To prevent hands from freezing, it is recommended to rub them with glycerin every morning and evening. In this case, you should try to rub glycerin to dryness and as evenly as possible, as with massage.

With severe hypothermia or frostbite, you can advise a decoction of horse chestnut fruits. The cooled broth is rubbed into chilled or frostbitten parts of the body, so that the spots characteristic of cold damage disappear. A more affordable remedy in case of severe frostbite can be grated raw carrots. It is placed on a cotton cloth, such a compress is placed for a while on the affected area, which is then wrapped with a bandage, if possible.

Hands that are roughened by constant work on the street will become soft if you thoroughly wash them, wipe them dry, and rub starch into them.
And some more advice. Ice should not be chipped off with frozen glasses or washed with warm water - this will cause them to burst. The easiest and safest way to get rid of ice is to wipe the glass with a strong solution of ordinary table salt. After several wipes, the ice will dissolve and the glass should be wiped dry immediately.
